SHILAJIT GUIDE

Which type of Shilajit is right for you?

If you have ever searched for Shilajit, you have probably come across different names: Altai, Mongolian, Kashmiri, Hunza… and different fulvic acid percentages. But what do those differences actually mean?

+
There is no single “best” Shilajit.

Different regions produce resins with different profiles. Understanding origin, composition and processing allows you to look beyond a single number.

START WITH THE BASICS

What exactly is Shilajit?

Shilajit is a natural resinous substance rich in organic compounds and minerals that forms over long periods of time in mountainous regions. Traditionally, it has been collected in the Himalayas and other major mountain ranges across Asia.

Its composition does not depend on the mountain alone. Geological environment, organic matter, minerals, altitude, climate and purification can all influence the final profile of the resin.

COMPARISON

Four regions. Four profiles.

Although they are all sold as Shilajit, resins from different regions can differ in colour, texture, composition and character.

OUR ORIGIN

Kashmiri Shilajit.Deep. Natural. Distinctive.

Our Shilajit comes from the Kashmir region. This area forms part of the greater Himalayan mountain environment and has a long tradition of collecting and using Shilajit.

For us, origin matters because the environment where the resin forms is part of its identity. But we don't stop at origin alone: we also look at its composition and its profile of humic substances.

Kashmiri Shilajit is distinctive for its profile of humic substances. For us, the balance between humic acid and fulvic acid matters, because Shilajit is much more than a source of fulvic acid alone.

Kashmir is universally recognized as the region where Shilajit is found with the highest concentration of humic acid.

BEYOND FULVIC ACID

Fulvic acid doesn't tell the whole story.

If you have researched Shilajit, you have probably noticed that fulvic acid is often presented as one of the main metrics. It matters, but focusing exclusively on it can mean overlooking other relevant parts of the resin.

01

Fulvic acid

It is one of the best-known substances associated with Shilajit and is frequently highlighted in analyses and on labels.

02

Humic acid

It belongs to the family of humic substances and has its own role within the composition of the resin. For us, its presence is an important part of the profile we look for.

03

The balance

Rather than chasing a single number, we look at the whole picture: fulvic acid, humic acid, minerals and the rest of Shilajit's natural matrix.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

How to look at Shilajit differently.

01

Origin

Where does the resin actually come from? Origin helps you understand its natural context.

02

Composition

Look beyond a single substance and consider the resin's complete profile.

03

Minerals

The mineral profile is part of Shilajit's natural identity.

04

Processing

How the resin is filtered and purified is also part of the final product.

QUALITY

The final product matters as much as its origin.

Knowing where Shilajit comes from matters. But so does knowing what happens after collection. Purification and processing are essential steps in turning the raw material into a resin ready to use.

So when comparing products, don't look only at the fulvic acid percentage. Look for information about origin, laboratory testing, purification and the overall composition.

HOW TO CHOOSE

Start with the profile, not the number.

The question shouldn't simply be “Which Shilajit has the highest percentage?” A better question is: “Which Shilajit profile do I want to choose, and why?”

ALTAI

A clean, balanced and approachable profile.

MONGOLIAN

A smooth, rounded and versatile profile.

KASHMIRIRAW POWER EARTH

A deeper, more intense profile with particular interest in the balance between humic acid and fulvic acid.

HUNZA

A lighter, cleaner and more refined profile.

THE TAKEAWAY

The right Shilajit is the one that fits you.

You don't need to chase the highest percentage or simply choose the most popular origin. Understanding the profile of each resin allows you to better understand what you are buying.

KASHMIRI SHILAJIT

That's why we recommend our Kashmiri Shilajit: for its balance of humic acid and fulvic acid, and because Kashmir is universally recognized as the region where Shilajit is found with the highest concentration of humic acid. Fulvic acid matters, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Shilajit contains a complex matrix of humic substances and other naturally occurring compounds.
